With over a decade of experience, Dipesh Patel helps adults navigate anxious thoughts, career curveballs, confidence slumps, parenting puzzles, infertility/family building stress, dating detours, and LGBTQ+ concerns. He believes therapy should create momentum—measurable progress, clearer thinking, and lasting change that resonates beyond the session. His mantra is that therapy, good therapy, should create some sort of movement. Whether it’s helping you create actual, tangible change in your life or helping move along an internal conversation that you can’t seem to make progress in.
Are you navigating—or anticipating—significant life changes but feeling stuck? Struggling to feel accepted or to fully accept yourself? Maybe you just need a space to reflect, connect, and be heard. Therapy offers a collaborative and nonjudgmental space to process your emotions, explore your identity, and develop practical tools for managing life’s challenges. Together, we’ll work to strengthen your confidence, deepen your self-trust, and help you move forward with clarity and self-assurance. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, First-Generation Americans, and adults and adolescents struggling with challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem concerns, adjustment to big life changes, identity concerns, and acculturative stress. I’m passionate about helping clients explore who they are and how they fit into the world around them. I support clients in gaining confidence, embracing who they are, forming meaningful relationships, and working towards their personal goals. Together, we’ll create a collaborative, safe space to reflect on your story and explore pathways toward your desired outcomes. Using an adaptable approach, I combine reflective techniques like narrative therapy with directive methods like CBT and solution-focused therapy to meet your unique needs. I also provide guidance on coping skills, mindfulness, and will guide you through the therapeutic process to help you feel confident, balanced, and authentic in your independence. Hello and welcome! I am a clinical psychologist, and outside of my private practice, I am also on faculty at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. I specialize in evidence-based treatments for OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. Anxiety and fear can limit our lives in a number of ways, leading us to withdraw from people and activities we care about. I use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), the gold standard treatment for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders, to help you develop the skills necessary to cope with your symptoms and build a life worth living. I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in CBT and exposure therapy for OCD and anxiety disorders (e.g., agoraphobia, panic, phobias, generalized anxiety). I also treat hair-pulling, skin-picking, depression, and perfectionism, and provide skills to help regulate difficult emotions. Please don't hesitate to reach out for a consultation!

We are a small group of like-minded practitioners. Our clinicians take a trauma-informed approach to all client work, and have significant experience treating sex-related trauma. We share a therapeutic focus on relationship dynamics, identity exploration, and self-growth, and commonly work with those in young adulthood and/or higher education. Clients who seek our services are often looking for help with trauma/PTSD/C-PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, sexual health, relationships, identity exploration, and/or spirituality; our practitioners are kink and poly-informed, social-justice oriented, and share a special commitment to serving members of the LGBTQ+ community specifically.
I am a short-term therapist who works specifically with clients with chronic health conditions. Over the course of 20 sessions, we learn all about what is happening in your body and brain, learn and practice coping skills to manage anxiety related to your chronic medical condition, and have the option to complete hypnotherapy for chronic illness as well. If you are struggling with mental health related to a chronic health condition, and especially if you are experiencing high amounts of anxiety and low quality of life related to health symptoms, you will be a great fit for what I provide. If you have never done therapy before, or if you have found that your current therapist doesn’t quite “get it,” and you’re hoping to work with someone that has an intimate knowledge of chronic illness and hospital systems, then you will be a great fit. I also work alongside your full-time therapist if you have a therapist you love and would like to stay with while we complete our work together. I am also a good fit for someone who is specifically seeking out an LGBTQ therapist. I only offer virtual therapy at this time.

** Telehealth and In-Person appointments.** We all long for our experiences, feelings, and needs to be seen, recognized, and honored. I bring to our work deep respect for your concerns and suffering. I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together which I approach with curiosity and empathy. I am most interested in what your unique experience is, and I aim to listen deeply on our road toward understanding. A safe-enough space will help us to transform your patterns of experience that interfere with your ability to be compassionate with yourself, to build meaningful relationships, and to work and play creatively, in other words, to live a fulfilling life. I am humbled by the complexity of human existence and feel honored to work with individuals from different racial and cultural backgrounds, sexual and gender identities, as well as spiritual and religious affiliations. In addition to my private practice, I am an Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School (part-time) and supervise psychology interns and psychiatrist fellows. I served as the co-chair of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology Graduate Student Committee helping young clinicians explore and develop their professional identities.
Feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—around relationships, food, or how you cope with feelings—can be exhausting and isolating. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to carry that weight alone. I strive to offer a compassionate, collaborative environment where you can feel understood and empowered to move toward meaningful change. I believe every person holds inherent inner strengths, even when they feel buried beneath pain. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been shaping your experiences and reconnect with the internal resources that support a more fulfilling, authentic, and liberated life. I work with adults navigating emotional eating and eating disorders, addictions, trauma, relational conflicts, life transitions, challenges related to immigrant experiences, and the exploration of spiritual themes. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based modalities, with Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing as core components. My personal journey as a first-generation immigrant informs the way I approach therapy and deepens my respect for the cultural uniqueness of each client.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in anxiety, dissatisfaction, or stress. Over time, I’ve seen people make meaningful change, regain confidence, and feel more present. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and relationship issues with over 1,500 hours of experience working with youths and adults. We will work together to make sense of what you carry, identify what gets in the way, and move toward the life you want. I am passionate about using graphics, worksheets, art, music, film, somatic practices, philosophy, and even memes in my work. If that interests you, we may be a good fit!
If you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself lately, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re the one who always holds it together for everyone else, but inside, you're running on empty. Maybe you’re constantly second-guessing yourself or struggling to say no, even when you're burned out. Or maybe you're in the middle of a big life change and everything feels uncertain or heavier than you expected. You may be wanting to better understand yourself, set boundaries, and start living in a way that actually feels good-not just "good enough." My approach is trauma-informed, compassion-focused, and grounded in somatic and IFS principles. That means we’ll not only talk about what’s going on, but also gently tune into what your body, emotions, and inner parts are holding. I believe that healing happens when we feel safe and connected enough to really listen to ourselves with our whole being. You can expect a space where you don’t have to perform or minimize the parts of you that have felt too much, messy, or confusing. This work is about coming home to yourself. You don’t have to do it alone. If this resonates, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Reach out when you’re ready—we’ll take it from there, together.
